Your privacy is under attack on several fronts, by people who would like to gain profit from what they can learn about you, and by government agencies that are trying to get a "back door" peek into your most private online documents. Although these two fronts in the privacy war are very similar, and the perpetrators (and the Congresscritters pushing their causes!) sometimes overlap, they are two very different issues. Accordingly, I've decided to break them out into two separate pages for clarity of thought. I'll also zero in on two Web techniques that have gained a lot of press, and give them my spin.
